An old folk house from the Edo period has been restored to serve as a new base for life in the village. This was once the home of the Domichi family, known locally as the Nozaki family, who lived in Ichinono for generations. The house has been brought back to its original form, offering a chance to experience and enjoy the everyday life of the village. Inside, you'll find traditional features such as a doma (earthen floor), shikadai (raised wooden platform), irori (sunken hearth), itama (wooden flooring), tatami (straw mats), and hibachi (charcoal brazier) each telling a story of how people once lived in harmony with the land. The home and its surrounding reflect the local scenery that has shaped generations. We hope your stay becomes a meaningful way to connect with the spirit of Ichinono and its quiet, enduring charm.
